  • The PRB wall was installed as a funnel and gate system featuring two concrete wing walls as the funnel and a central wall segment acting as the gate.
  • The gate portion of the wall was constructed of sand and ZVI mix which was designed and tested by Milestone.
  • Cost savings to the Client of over 50% of the original estimated contract value.
Project Scope
  • The design and execution of bench scale testing to prove remediation technology viability.
  • Systematic excavation, loading, transportation, and disposal of hazardous (arsenic). contaminated soil excavated within the Permeable Reactive Barrier (PRB).
  • Design and execution of a Zero Valent Iron (ZVI) injection program to remediate groundwater between the PRB wall and shoreline.
