Indigenous Student Bursary Program

Designed to Support Indigenous Youth

The Indigenous Student Bursary Program is designed to support Indigenous youth pursuing careers in environmental contracting and related fields. This initiative reflects our commitment to economic reconciliation by investing in Indigenous talent and fostering sustainable development within Indigenous communities.

For 2025, one bursary of $2,500 will be awarded to an Indigenous student enrolled in an accredited post-secondary in Engineering, Skilled Trades, Business Management, Human Resources, or Accounting/Finance.

Beyond the Status Quo

In addition to financial support, the selected recipient may also have the opportunity for work experience  within our company, providing hands-on industry exposure and career development.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicant must be of Indigenous ancestry (First Nation, Métis, or Inuit) in Canada.
  • Must be enrolled or accepted into an accredited post-secondary institution in one of the eligible programs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to their field of study and an interest in contributing to environmental contracting or related industries.

Application Requirements:

  • Completed application form
  • Proof of Indigenous ancestry (e.g., status card, Métis membership, Inuit beneficiary card, or a letter of support from an Indigenous community/organization)
  • Proof of enrollment or acceptance in an eligible post-secondary program
  • A personal essay outlining career goals, aspirations, community involvement and how the bursary will support your education.

Deadline & Submission

Applications must be submitted by June 1, 2025.
Recipients will be announced by July 30, 2025.

The bursary is open to Indigenous students (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Applicants must be enrolled or accepted into an accredited post-secondary institution in Engineering, Skilled Trades, Business Management, Human Resources, or Accounting/Finance.

The bursary funds must be used for tuition fees, books, or other essential educational expenses.

Applicants must submit a completed application form, proof of Indigenous ancestry, proof of enrollment, and a personal essay outlining their career goals and community involvement.

The application deadline is June 1, 2025. Late applications will not be considered.

A selection committee will review all applications based on eligibility, merit, and commitment to career development.

The recipient will be notified via email and publicly announced through company channels by July 30, 2025.

No, the bursary is non-transferable and must be used within the academic year awarded.

Yes, the selected recipient may have the opportunity for work experience within our company, providing industry exposure and career development.

If the funds are not used within the academic year, they will be forfeited and reallocated to future bursary programs.
