In December, our teams came together to celebrate at our annual holiday parties. Much of our work is carried out remotely – often far from family – on some of Canada’s most demanding environmental contracting projects. These gatherings provide a meaningful opportunity to reconnect, reflect on the year, and recognize the strong team we’ve built at Milestone.
Each year, our peer-to-peer project nomination process culminates in the announcement of the Milestone Project Award winners at our holiday celebrations.
This year, we were proud to present the Milestone Project Awards to the following projects:
Best Large Project – Eastern Region
Davieaux Island Light Station
The project presented several unique challenges, driven primarily by its remote location and the demanding logistics of operating approximately 85 kilometres offshore from Wawa, Ontario.

Best Small Project – Eastern Region
Metrolinx – CN Access Road and Tree Clearing
This project marks a major milestone as the first initiative outside of Randle Reef delivered through the MCBC–Milestone Partnership. Supporting Metrolinx, one of the most significant and visible infrastructure clients in the GTA, it demonstrated our team’s ability to perform civil scopes of work at a high level.

Best Corporate Shared Services Project – Whitehorse Office Opening
