Objective
- Remove Petroleum Hydrocarbon (PHC) impacted soil through excavation and offsite disposal and in-situ treatment of Trichloroethylene (TCE) impacted areas via abiotic reduction through Zero Valent Iron (ZVI) amendment using mechanical soil mixing to effectively distribute ZVI into the TCE impacted zone.
Project Scope
- Soil excavation (including excavation, stockpiling overburden, loading and offsite transport of impacted material.
- Trucking and transport (recyclables, liquid industrial waste, solid non-hazardous waste).
- In-situ soil mixing including ZVI and guar slurry application and in-situ treatment using Lang Tool Dual Axis Soil Blender under a MOECC mobile Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA).
- Soil backfilling and compaction.
- Surface and groundwater management, pumping and water treatment, sanitary sewer discharge.
- VOC, Total Suspended Particulate (TSP), and Noise monitoring program.
