Description
Milestone Environmental Contracting Inc. (Milestone) and 7 Cedars Resource Management joined forces to create 7 Cedars Milestone Inc. JV, an Indigenous joint venture that completed a road and slope stabilization project in a sensitive habitat in the Chilliwack area of BC. Working with local First Nation companies we executed this important habitat restoration and forestry service road upgrade to remove built up debris flow and sediment material within fish bearing tributaries and stabilize a failing slope.

- Re-establishment of water flow under a forest service road with installation of new larger culverts.
- Geotextile and riprap armouring on the banks of the cleared tributary to manage erosion and subsequent sedimentation.
- Rock scaled and stabilized slope using triple twist mesh, anchored to stumps.
- All disturbed areas prepped and ready for spring hydro-seeding.
